Walk on Air in the Booming Clean Room Market with the Winters PFD WinAIR Differential Pressure Gauge

The CLEAN ROOM MARKET IS BOOMING. THE PFD WINAIR SERIES HAS YOU COVERED

Rapid automation and AI integration are fueling substantial growth in both pharmaceutical clean room development, and the HVAC ventilation solutions that keep them clean.

This niche sector is expected to reach over $5.6 billion by 2030. Much of this growth was spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic, which highlighted the importance of clean and sterile environments for the biotechnology, medical and pharmaceutical sectors. AI and automation are expected to facilitate much of this growth in the clean room market, as they greatly eliminate the risks of electrostatic discharge and contamination humans can bring.

As the clean room market expands, so too will the demand for reliable and robust HVAC solutions to maintain sterile environments. Clean rooms in particular present a unique challenge, as many rely on differential pressure control to maintain the cleanliness of the indoor environment. This typically involves maintaining a higher pressure inside the clean room compared to the surrounding areas, generating positive pressure that prevents contaminants from entering the clean room.
Just as clean rooms are experiencing a boom in innovation, so too has the technology behind ventilating them. Winters’ PFD WinAIR Differential Pressure Gauge has emerged as a novel solution which greatly simplifies the job of measuring differential pressures between two separate inlet pressures.

Before, two separate pressure gauges were required to measure the different inlet pressures. Mathematical calculations would then be done to calculate the differential pressure. This became more complicated to do if the pressure gauges were physically located in different areas of the control cabinet or room.
The PFD WinAIR Differential Pressure Gauge solves this dilemma by measuring both pressure inlets simultaneously and presenting the differential pressure on a single gauge face. The PFD WinAIR Differential Pressure Gauge is a diaphragm-actuated, resistance-free pressure gauge that can be used for measuring positive, negative or differential pressure of air and noncorrosive gases.

This product is available in a broad range of pressures from very low “H2O to 150″ H2O, including a variety of pressure scales (“H2O, mmH2O, psi, Pa and others). With a full-scale 2% accuracy rating, WinAIR performs especially well when installed on filtration equipment, ventilation and duct systems, clean rooms, fans and blowers, paint booths, dust collectors and many other applications.

WinAIR’s large 4″ dial is easy-to-read at any distance and with the convenience of a lens-accessible re-zero screw, this product is field-calibratable. Its housing is constructed of industrial-grade, die-cast aluminum and is able to withstand operating temperatures up to 150°F (60°C) and as long as -40°F (-40°C). A variety of accessories are available with WinAIR, including mounting adapters which come standard with the product.

As with all instruments, Winters warranties WinAIR against manufacturing defects for a full five years.
