gauges take a novel approach to gauge design. First, a dampening
silicone is applied directly to the pointer movement only as opposed to
the complete case, greatly reducing the required quantity and the
resulting overall weight. Second, the silicone is contained in a sealed
chamber which avoids its evaporation and maintains lubrication to the
pointer movement for the life of the gauge.
The
result is a gauge that can withstand significant vibrations and extreme
low temperatures without the risks of leak that come with liquid filled
gauges. All while giving the same stabilizing results as liquid-filled
gauges.
